Prehistoric Party

*

Lots of folks get involved with these Animal Train parties at Glasslands. These are just a few pix from the Prehistoric Party put together by New York Night Train, Special FX by Mighty Robot AV Squad, sets and props by Live With Animals, caveman tunes by Caveman Jonathan and Josh Styles, and Pterodactyl contributed a live set. The girls in the band did some prehistoric go go-go dancing as their alter ego, the Marmaladies. Micki P. did a performance with a special appearance by Tom from the Tulips, Rick Terquoi, Punk Rock Sean from Cult of Youth, and McNey. Also according to the pictures, it looks like the Inspector Strawberry Sodapop invented a new dance, but as of now it has no name yet.

Jay Reatard + Golden Triangle at Bowery Ballroom

*

Here's some pix from our show at Bowery Ballroom with Jay Reatard. Carly threw a pizza at Jay while they were playing, but he just picked it up and ate it. Then just threw the crust into the crowd- he didn't get crazy or anything like he did in Toronto. Billy, the drummer, was wearing a Boo Berry shirt, my favorite cereal ever. Boo Berry kicks Count Chocula's ass anytime

Deerhunter + Knyfe Hyts + Golden Triangle + AIDS Wolf + Rings @ Market Hotel

*

Here's a few pix from our show at the Market Hotel with Deerhunter and Knyfe Hyts. It was rad seeing our soldiers, Nathan Whipple, Mikki, Raul, and Jack and Julie show up early for us and tear shit up on the dance floor as usual, rolling around and flinging flour at everyone- you know how they do. The Knyfe Hyts set was awesome as usual, but even got more awesome when our New Orleans bud, MC Trachiotomy, jumped onstage and did some emceeing over "Smoke the Milk." Deerhunter played their whole new album which sounded rad. The first 6 high quality pictures were shot by Drew Katchen, and I actually stole them from him and his site. Thanks for the heads up, Mookie, and thanks for stealing 'em for me. Anytime you see nice high quality pix here, you know I stole that stuff from someone else's website. My camera sucks and/or I am a bad photographer.

Cheap & Plastique pix by Marti Domination and Violet

*

These pix were from Saturday's Cheap & Plastique Issue Release Show with SSSSpectres and Ana Lola Roman. The first 9 pix were taken by Violet who is the creator of Cheap & Plastique Magazine, and was very nice to invite us to play this party. The rest were taken by Marti Domination who has an interesting background- she plays Goodyear in Matthew Barney's "Cremaster I" and Jack the Ripper. She was also part of the legendary Blacklips Performance Cult which was a group founded in the early 90's by Antony from Antony and the Johnsons. They performed a series of bizarre plays at the old Pyramid on Ave. A back in the day when it was abandoned. She also sings for Beaut.
